My stance on AI is almost poetic. For context, I am a computer science major, and when ChatGPT first came out, I used it to not have to program. I found out, unfortunately, that by doing that, I lost the ability to do anything with programming. I began to use AI for art because I didn't think I could draw very well. One day, I decided to sketch the image created by the AI and discovered that what I drew was really cool. I looked at the AI image, returned to my paper, and decided to start drawing. I have since stopped using AI to replace me and instead regained passions that I lost all because I decided to sketch from the very same drawing that was replacing my effort. I started taking drawing classes, and found out how much I love art, and began to realize why I liked computer science in the first place. AI is fantastic... as a more powerful search engine. However, once it is used to replace you, it becomes harmful. Thank you, AI, for showing me how capable I am.
