Senator. I appreciate this video. I fully concur. However, look at how we treat human beings when we don't even consider technology. In the past, children, disabled or old people, anyone who is a "non-worker" would be taken care of in some form or fashion. When your grandparent got old, you didn't cut them off and demand they get a job. You took care of them. Because they are all part of our society. Today, in our falsely claimed "capitalist" society, only the "worker", "tax payer" and may I even say "citizen" are considered as "contributing" to our society. My grandmother contributed to my care, my education, my health. And the many quilts she pieced together by hand to give to me, my syblings and many cousins. (And, from her, I learned to sew.) In the end, Alzheimer's took its toll. We put her in a nursing home. Paid for by Medicaid. We were poor. She lasted six months. Having been through caregiving of a loved one a few times, I can tell you this. There is a lot of work human beings do that simply doesn't count. Work that is never paid. Work for the benefit of our society. And the people needing that "work" are not considered an "asset". They are considered a "burden". And everytime we turn around, the poor is taxed more and more for this "burden" "they created". AI wasn't required to get here. But AI will make it more efficient to deal with this "burden". And that is not a good thing.
