A similar risk exists with adaptive cruise control, a far more common feature in modern cars. My last two cars had it, and neither could reliably detect a motorcycle. Thank you for calling attention to this issue. Self-driving cars are much, much further in the future than anyone wants to admit... just ask Anthony Lewandowsky.
