AI companies trying to counteract things like nightshade is even more evil than taking art that hasn't been volunteered for them to steal. Someone is going out of their way to download and apply nightshade to their art, basically saying as clear as possible "DO NOT TAKE THIS YOU"RE STEALING FROM ME". I don't see how anyone could justify stealing art from the wilds of the internet and being annoyed that the content they have literally stolen has a digital STD.
