A post scarcity economic model where nobody has to work and everybody can do whatever arts, crafts, and research they like seems like an objectively good scenario. It’s just that we don’t have a clean path to get from our system to that one.
But let’s not pretend the optimal scenario is to not automate things we have to bribe each other to do.
