Sooo, he's saying that ai will teach humans to become non-thinkers which will allow market forces to replace human workers with virtual workers, and the only hope is that ai has a major brain fart or mild dementia which will then make market forces distrust ai just enough for there to be human guardrail requirements.
He's among the group of researchers in the world of academia who first developed ai and now that ai can potentially dominate the world of commerce, He sees commerce as not having any real motivation to put up ai guardrails other than to protect themselves from liability.
