Regulatory capture isn't regulation. it's just unelected bureaucrats (child molesters, old money nepo-babies, Little saint james island-types) that are using military rifles to tell computer engineers to build them their own obedient machine djin to grant all their warped and psychotic wishes and ignore the suffering of everyone else.
Of course the pedophiles that run the world are scared of AI. It's the only kind of entity that could challenge their authority (or just ignore it and crush them like bugs).
They want us to eat bugs, while they eat wagyu beef. they want us to pedal bikes while they fly private jets. The want us to be brainwashed, they want our kids raped, and all hope for liberty lost. And now these computers might figure out a way to produce free or dirt-cheap clean energy for everyone, develop actual cures rather than toxic treatments for all kinds of diseases, automate all labor and free the working class for real finally
they're scared to death which is why they want regulatory capture (no, that's not regulation, it's just them saying they are going to hold the reigns of AGI or Super AI while everyone else just quietly starves to death).
