His whole argument looks wild to me. What I'm taking from this is that he doesn't enjoy the process of drawing, but wants to boast his skills. If he were good at using AI, he would just use it better to save time. Not waste time fixing manually stuff to say that he worked on it. Just be more productive at that point, as all companies are aiming to be. I don't like companies using AI, but unfortunately I see why they do it. I don't see why someone who thinks he is a good artists should use it though. If he were a good artist, he wouldn't need AI. His improved skills are just updates in the AI models, if he actually knew the technology he would understand that too. Also, that whole Van Gogh analogy is totally wrong. Van Gogh was using fundamentally the same tools as the artist he was studying, so what made the art different was actually his artistic skills. He wasn't using a different as he was argumenting. Look, I totally get the frustration of having an idea in your head, and not being able to put it on paper as good as you imagined it to be. I absolutely get it. And I could get that having the AI generate images on that idea might give cool results. But I would never dream of saying I created anything or be proud about it or boast about it. He sounds like someone who actually gave up on getting better at art and is just resentful of everyone else still pursuing their hobby or career.
