The difference between the digital tools is that they are streamlining part of the process, and aren't taking from actual art. The fill tool doesn't take away from the creativity, it doesn't take away from someone's style, it fills in a background. The AI does take away from a style, and it makes the whole piece (steals it but that isn't my point) instead of the creative details of an actual artist.
