George Patton crushed "free speech" right in Washington in 1930s so this is not learned from other places.
But video missed one element - if everyone's outta jobs, who's left to consume the products made by AI? South Korea and Taiwan's success weren't about investing in people, in face both had authoritarian regimes in their *4 dragons* era, it's about access to the American market and Washington willing to prop them up (including tech transfer) as the showcase in the Cold War over other allies such as Liberia. Take that market away (by Trump?) all their efforts would be meaningless as they don't have the size to compete.
