AI is here and is very useful in many fields such as data analysis. Billion dollar companies are rising everwhere. But, when mimicing humans (creating art, making decisions, etc.) you can either train AI by creating the data yourself. Or you can use data created by humans - art, text, songs, game play. Many, many steps forward in text and image generation were achieved by taking human data and synthesizing it into new products.Humans do that - but on a scale where they can be creative. Many, many forms of "AI" have no intellince (the term referring to analyzing data represented by numbers in the very basic way some people think the human brain does) and relies entirely on human intelligence and creativity. Which is why some head honchos want to scrap copyright - so they can train their models on human created data without paying said humans. Synthesizing new variants of human creations without creating any original works or paying the original creators. Ironically, those companies cannot exist without human input - yet they discourage the creators by enabling talentless hacks to easily flood paying markets with copied materials and hence threaten their source of training data. AI without intelligence, just a greed for easy money.
