A. Regarding the Block firing of employees. This will most likely fire back. My thesis is that you cannot automate the work of 4,000 employees on short notice. Automated processes are not flexible enough. Also you still need humans in the loop for planning, set-up, approvals and optimizations. B. Regarding the use case reports from programmers/software developers: 1. The first quoted developer did not mention whether she/he is now more productive within his given working environment. I guess it is hard to measure. 2. The second developer even said he/she is slowed down.
