Dear Sam, May I ask you for your feedback? I'm a self-publishing author; I am poor because I live with an impairment. I'd love my written work to be complemented with illustrations. I'm considering using AI art because: 1) I cannot afford an artist; 2) As no artist will be hired because I cannot afford an artist, no artist will lose work should I use AI, because no artist would be hired in the first place due to my poverty. Would you consider this ethical conduct? I am abhorred for the lack of empathy people show artists. An idea that came to mind: In order for AI to be compatible with artists, artists should be able to create their OWN models and create an AI service that can be used for a fee. Lets say, "so many dollars/euros per generated image." Artists will be the only ones allowed to create AI models.
