Driverless trucks are at a massive increased risk of vandalism and theft just saying. Insurance should level out to being much higher when no security guard/ operator is on board. Just take a look at train cars. They need to be policed to prevent freight theft and vandalism yet it still happens anyway on a frequent basis.
This a high value, large captial industry. It's not gonna let these goods go completely unguarded across the roughest parts of the US. Honest perspective as somebody who has driven these highways.
