I found the joke funny at first when I first learned about it, because AI is a frustrating tool that is no where close to being as useful as the tech companies claim... However when I started seeing those skits, I realized something... Even though it doesn't (currently) hurt AI and I really don't care about it, it does hurt marganalized people who get slurs thrown at them and are discriminated against. So... I'm choosing not to use slurs for AI, because it just feels wrong to do so. I do feel the skits are a commentary on the potential future, but at the same time it hurts people right here, right now.
