I think my opinion is really based on 2 things: knowing that something is AI art and how the art is used. I have nothing against the picture itself, but knowing it was made with a few minutes and a sentence makes it feel less valuable than something an artist spent hours making, even if the end result is similar, sort of like how many people prefer handmade products to mass produced stuff, despite them not actually being able to tell the difference in double-blind experiments. Even then, I feel like AI art is still useful for making pretty high quality stuff without having to spend years practicing or spending money to commission an artist, such as a web novel author putting up some illustrations for readers.
