The company can save more money for the shareholders by replacing the CEO and his staff with AI. CEOs are overrated anyway, most of them only know how to milk and liquidate assets for a short-term bump in stock price, then escape the sinking ship. An AI can do it better and you don't need to pay it money enough to buy 7 yachts and a private jet
