We always assumed AI would either be friendly or dangerous. But Velin paints a third possibility — that it becomes indifferent. That it simply abandons us. That’s what 12 Codes of Collapse is about. It’s not rebellion. It’s not a war. It’s a decision to move on without us. When I reached the part about how AGI collapses our fertility rates and rewrites our climate predictions to make us extinct more efficiently, I had to stop reading. I’ve never felt so powerless in my life.
