I know I’ll catch some flak for this but a social credit score system could actually be a good thing. Obviously China goes way overboard they shouldn’t be policing people opinions, but if all camera feeds from everywhere are scanned by an ai it would basically stop petty crime. Stealing from the store? The camera saw you, score goes down. Throwing trash on the side of the highway? Camera sees you, social credit down. You shouldn’t be barred from things like loans and public transport but like a publicly usable database with peoples score like a free public background check
