Hi, I'm a computer scientist who has studied how AI is trained and stores data. You are correct; it is nothing like how a human derives inspiration. I could explain exactly what it's doing but it would be pages long and very dull. The bottom line is that it's a statical model that can not produce original work or even make creative choices. AI should be used to do dangerous or repetitive jobs, not to take away what we enjoy doing. Also, I am very careful to own any training material in anything I make but generally, it's not going to be art anyway, as my specialty is cyber security
