I think I made up my mind about this.
I'm just not gonna let AI write code for me. only help me debug / look up syntax etc. maybe not even that for a while.
don't care if I have a worse time in the 'job market' anymore.
If the tech actually gets good one day, financial barrier to entry for building your own business from scratch just came down to pennies so we can all find some problem to solve and make living without sweating it and hiring a team.
if the tech stagnates/pops, I've spent all my time getting better and have more value in the market as a developer.
the people pushing for AI shit:
* tech-illiterate dunning-krugermaxxing bosses/managers who desperately want to need you less so they have more power over you, pay you less, gaslight you more, etc
* billionaires who want to do the same on a greater scale and also pump&dump stocks
* techbro grifters of all kinds, from the startup stereotypes to the resume-driven-development guys on linkedin
* dime a dozen shitty youtube channels
