My personal believe is that consciousness doesn't exist. It's like a heap, you just need enough sand. If you get enough intelligence you see consciousness. If we agree that single cell organism, are not conscious (they are following simple algorithm via DNA), then when does the consciousness start? At a snail? A cat? Human?
