Observation -The panel keep reiterating that your economic situation isn't linked to your virtuous nature (ie. you're poor because you're a bad person or loser, you're rich because you are more virtuous and morally better). That's true, but the fact it has to be said several times is worrying. This is a kind of hyper-protestant point of view that was buried a century ago in other developed countries but lives on in the US. It's why your society as a whole is so callous, and why AI will likely screw over Americans more than others (oh, you don't have a job? Struggling at work? Must be your fault you loser! You're on your own).
