It's not just about jobs and profits, it's a competition between big powers. This is a race that can not be stopped.
Bernie is too obtuse to realize this is going to happen sooner or later anyways.
We live in a consumerist destructive society and the AI and robots will fix it.
PS: what is a job, what is a job for? We are saves in a destructive machine. Maybe it's time for the humanity to concentrate on other goals, like space exploration, creativity, self development.
Having a job is not a necessary human condition.
