It seems to me that a case could be made - as a class action suit, I'd imagine - against any company that makes money off of selling AI generated art because everything the AI "knows" it got by assimilating human artists' work and then essentially takes tiny bits from everywhere splashed together, or by extending on what they have absorbed, so an argument could be made that every piece of AI generated art is being used w/o the permission of the artists who created the art the AI learned from. It'd be interesting if any lawyers out there might examine this idea and maybe make a good case. Quash AI "art" before it becomes the norm. Or at least making the companies pay every artist who's artwork was assimilated by the AI.
