The video is makes me feel a little better actually, as I'm right now working as a recruiter. It's all me, I have no bots. I'm researching college faculty, building my college outreach listservs one campus at a time, one professor at a time, I'm reaching out one by one to hundreds of professors who's students we think have an background that would both qualify them and make them interested in our job, to schedule class presentations my colleagues and I will do live. I wrote all the emails templates, I built all the tracking spreadsheets and manually update them, I wrote our job postings, I designed and wrote our career fair tabling materials, I'm writing our class presentations, I wrote our group interview presentation as well as our individual interview questions, and I've trained our office managers on what to look for during individual interviews, I debrief with them and help them make hiring decisions, and every year the nonprofit campaign I work for reads and calls thousands of applicants, interviews hundreds and hires a couple hundred in our 8 campaign offices across the state. I'm out here trying really hard NOT to seem like AI!! I'm like no I really am a person god damn it, I have read all the bios of the faculty in your department- I am honest to god directly reaching person to person! But on the other hand this makes me hope possible applicants will see difference that we are real people, passionate about achieving our mission, interested in individual people's abilities and helping develop them!
