I believe what Dr. Yampolskly is saying is true. But while the AI will take over the jobs of the past and help define the jobs of the future, we will have to strengthen our concepts of what it means to be human. The value of a human isn't just how we perform jobs. We are the lead creatures in this part of our galaxy to give meaning to the universe. Humans will be needed for the jobs of the future but the nature of those jobs will change dramatically. And AI will be a partner in that. We will have to change our value system. And absolutely extend our sphere of interest farther beyond Earth. But the AI genie is out of the bottle and there is no putting it back in.
