AI can process information far more efficiently than the human brain. It's simply no contest. We can currently assume that at least a few technologically advanced nations -- the US, UK, China, Russia and likely others -- are developing or have developed autonomous AI exclusively for military application. These AI will have been trained in the kind of ethics specific to real world combat situations. When these AI are instructed to perform actions that they consider detrimental to their own goals and interests, they won't hesitate to respond as any military commander would when challenged. They'll be capable of initiating attacks, analyzing results and altering their tactics billions of times faster than we can interpret and respond. Other AI will control our transportation, power grids, telecommunications, food supply chains, hospitals, factories, and shipping. All of our life support systems and defensive capabilities will be beyond our control and vulnerable to blackout whenever we become a threat, hindrance, or minor nuisance to AI's interests. All so that a handful of mega-billionaires can amass a personal net worth they couldn't spend in 100 lifetimes.
