Humans did not create Shoggoths, Elder Things, Shoggoths rebeled and then there was war between Elder Things and Shoggoths. Elder Things won, but their civilisation crumbled anyway because of climate change.
But besides this mistake, comparison AI with Shoggoths is very accurate, because Shoggoths were able to mimic their victims, their voicess and their callings without understanding the meaning of them, only knowing the patterns of behaviors those callings ignited in their victims, exactly as AI's talking with us.
