What's wonderful about AI is that it's a complete money sink. From the need for expensive servers and equipment to the power consumption to the fact that no government on earth recognizes AI generated art as being copyright protected and therefore cannot truly be marketed to the fact that, despite having money flowing in from AI bros, every single AI is bleeding literal billions of dollars. It's just a matter of time before it black holes enough value and becomes enough of a legal mire that it will be abandoned. It feels impossible right now, but it's becoming more possible with every failure of corporations to produce anything anyone wants with it. Ultimately, the "cost savings" that they were seeking will bankrupt them, and I will sit here with popcorn watching for it to happen.
