It is both, AI is invested by corporations who will sell something, their ideas, products, whatever, and the AI will be trained to say what makes them richer. Also people does dumb stuff, and will believe what they want to, my father tends to find youtube doctors with crazy ideas about health, and try it, he is by proper definition uneducated. the man on video though, it is educated on the field he was suposed to be good, what hints the educational system dont train people to think and question things properly, and why will they do that, if the benevolent corporations can give you a AI demigod who knows everything and will tell how things work.
