23:57 i agree with the statement, but not with the interpretation you make of it. it doesn't matter if i like or dislike it, if i am bothered or not by it, it just is. it can be judged true or false, and i judge it true. rather, the realization of this truth is what scares people because it shows life itself only has meaning inside the head of the one living it. "meaning" itself is an illusion. a social construct. an agreement. we are scared by it because it is a reality-shattering truth that goes against (our) societal values. truth nonetheless. the concept of artistic value, while it does resonate in me, is not a natural thing. it is made-up. if you present the finest human art to an alien, it is just as worthless as anything else. all these things are equally "real". if anything, artistic value and emotions are even less real. this is a philosophical rabbit hole, and i trust a trained philosopher could give an input better than mine. also, i argue that, in a sense, a robot can "make", beyond just copying humans. no artist can draw a true fractal by hand, say, down to atomic level. complex mathematical objects projected from higher dimensions are visualizable only because of robots. an automatic randomized camera can produce. if we perceive these outputs as art or not, that's something else. goes down to the concept of art. on the other hand, i'm not aware of robots replacing culinary artists anytime soon, because the data they would need to be able to manipulate and me output media (food) is much more complex than what can be stored digitally. so i think it boils down to the medium. insisting on "digital art" is the mistake, no,t art itself. i wish the pixels of light i see on my screen and the vibrations from my speakers didn't mean people's happiness or sadness. that art and money were unrelatABLE. because they are just pixels on my screen. i really do. also, what i can understand is my own frustration at hearing your words. it is not yours. it never could be. anyway, when the ai comes for me, either i'll be the dead rat or i'll not try to be human anymore and go away because being human will have become a boring thing
