This is the biggest difference between the US and China. Capitalism serves the rich; all wealth belongs to the rich. Socialism, however, serves the overall interests of the nation.
When AI develops to the point where it can replace most people, China can readjust its economic system. The government will allocate tasks to AI and human workers based on efficiency and importance. Most manufacturing and agriculture will be taken over by government robots, responsible for continuously supplying cheap goods to the people. The people will continue to receive education and take exams, selecting the smartest individuals for scientific research and high-end precision manufacturing. The remaining ordinary people will share the remaining, less important tasks in handicrafts, services, and entertainment, earning government-sold goods by fulfilling their work quotas. The Chinese people will then experience true liberation, freed from arduous labor, and able to fully enjoy life.
