I'm late to the conversation, as per usual, but has anyone considered that the people funding AI development don't want citizens that can look at a thing, analyze it, take it apart in their mind, think creatively and, through working on art and thus themselves, become a more competent and free individual. Seems to me that independently minded creatives with the discipline to do good work and the capacity to self manage are bad for the authority industry.
