Wait, we're saying that humans, who are prone to confirmation bias, created a system that is also prone to confirmation bias and we're surprised by this? I know everyone is concerned about AI but we're still in the infancy of it's evolution and identifying problems. The difference is it's very out in the open, like many other developing technologies and trends. These are all issues which have traditionally been resolved behind closed doors. Creating a kerfuffle about the process is a bit misleading as we're effectively all beta users.
