The BIGGEST difference between AI...and EVERY previous major tech breakthrough...is that no-one understands what AI is actually doing. It is instantiating things we call 'knowledge, awareness, understanding, information, intelligence, meaning...etc. etc." There does not even begin to exist anywhere anyhow anything remotely resembling an empirical scientific understanding of a single one of these categories.
