The majority of people dont care about the process, they care about the result. Its the creators that care about the process the most, simply because its something they are required to love to become good in the first place. The AI art pieces trigger emotions too, people react normally if they don't know that its AI art and its merely the stubbornness and hate towards it that overwhelms the reaction when you find out that it in fact is AI.
AI won't replace artists as a whole, but it will replace the 95-99% of artists that are objectively not that "good". The better AI gets, the higher the standard of quality an artist has to offer to stay financially relevant.
Saying that AI cant replace human craftsmanship is ignorance. However, it isn't quite impossible for the AI bubble to collapse as it isnt being properly monetized currently. They'd have to monetize the good models at some point and it will likely be prohibitively expensive, to the point that the random joe can't just pick it up and generate the ultimate piece on their mid pc for effectively free.
