Ridiculous premise. To extrapolate the past into modern times is absurd.
AI is replacing 10s of thousands NOW in tech & HR. They are being replaced by digital employees. The vast majority of businesses are setting up for AI to replace knowledge employees.
The blue collar jobs will be hit when humanoid robots kick in. BMW in Georgia has started NOW with them as does Tesla. Amazon warehouses have more robots than employees.
