If a banana taped to a wall is art, then AI art is art. The computer doesn't make art by itself with 0 input. If you put in very basic prompts, you're going to get crappy, generic AI art in the same way that anyone can draw a stick figure. Even a toddler can make art using a crayon but they can't make AI art. The people who make good, original AI art do actually need to put a lot of time into it. Tons of art is made using computers these days.
