I am not a seasoned developer or anything, but I can see that the idea of pushing AI as a "replacement" to anyone (including developers) is way too far-fetched, but it's also a huge misunderstanding of what AI is all about.
AI can help as a side-kick, it can help you think, but it absolutely CANNOT think instead of you.
Think of it like GPS, more or less. If you know where you're going, it can help you find the best route to get there. If you are not sure where to go, it can help suggest places you might be interested in that are around your current location, for example.
But if you have absolutely no clue where you want to go, GPS can also just as easily get you lost or set you on a wild goose chase!
