as someone who's been architecting distributed systems since before kubernetes existed, the real problem this video completely misses is that most of the devs who got replaced weren't writing anything a sufficiently detailed spec couldn't handle anyway. the actual 10x engineers — the ones designing the systems, not just implementing tickets — were never at risk. what collapsed isn't AI code generation, it's the fiction that most software engineering was ever really engineering in the first place
