In the end if big companies automated everything and everybody lost their jobs, regular people wouldn't have any money to spend on products of said companies. I think it's also in the companies' interests to have consumers with money in their pockets, because if their pockets are empty noone will buy their products anyway. I think this conversation should happen with everybody involved, and it's in the interest of everybody that it happens.
