I sincerely disagree with the automatic boring generalization comment just because I know of the origin. Even the video game example: Smash CPU fights - TONS of people love them even though there's no people behind the characters fighting. Here's another example, TAS speedruns - yes, a human has to do frame-by frame meticulous and time consuming inputs for the run, but the general consensus and perception when watching the realized gameplay is that its the machine making frame perfect inputs - it's literally scripted! TONS love seeing what can be done with TAS, and rarely anyone bats an eye to who made it and many don't even know someone has to spend hours and days making it (which is a phenomenon unlike art prob due to a lack of knowledge on it - for art, we ALWAYS historically have known there's a person behind it, except in recent times). AI image generating isn't as meticulous as TAS, but I don't think something being easier to do should devalue the fact the result looks cool just because a machine made it - that's just some personal vendetta you'd have against it at that point. There's tons of cool AI art that I don't find boring even though I know the prompt is essentially a script and the machine following it. Cool is cool, it's that simple (man logic). I agree, it sucks that AI can so effortlessly challenge artists and take a lot of what makes art special away (a person has to spend years learning + practicing and then hours to days actually making the art). I'm actually an artist myself, I went through years of art classes and turned out pretty good. Yes, the concept behind AI art is "boring" as you put it, but the art is *still cool* in a LOT of cases and I won't suddenly lose all interest on the result just because I know AI made it. That's just not how... Things work. Imagine this: A real diamond that came from earth or a diamond that was made in a lab. It's still a diamond, and it looks and shines pretty. If I were to say I lost ALL interest just because it was made in a lab, that'd just be me allowing a personal grudge against synthetic things even though the result is still beautiful all the same. If art looks good, it looks good and I'm interested. That said, AI art should have a ton more regulations, punishments, etc, but that's completely different from the way the art itself looks.
