As an artist that's against such unaproved use of artists' content, despite being dangerous for people like myself, I think "anyone can do anything it wants", and it's up to others to prevent them doing one thing or another.
Say, Putin invading Ukrain is bad for a lot of people, but we have no choice but accepting that he can do so if it wants. What we can do is actively fighting against him if we can't change its mind.
So, no matter how we artist are concerned about people stealing our work for AI databases, they'll keep doing so anyways until it's not worth anymore, say, with future laws.
Until then, "AI stealers" sure won't care wether real creators are upset, because there's no way these artists would just stop posting content, and even if they do, there's already way too much available online.
