AI came with all these lofty promises of improving the lives of humans and curing diseases such as cancer. But instead we got an ongoing flood of scams, misinformation, bots, goon material, and other trash of such poor quality it's not even worthy of Tiktok. The Dead Internet Theory has been realised, thanks to AI.
Nothing that grows this fast can maintain that growth indefinitely. AI will eventually plateau, or maybe even crash completely. Like humans, it's fallible and corruptible. AI superintelligence? Get ready for an absolutely spectacular and destructive failure of equal proportion.
Putting so much faith so quickly into AI is dangerous, and I believe it's not going to work out as rosy as some people think.
