This is true when taking the perspective that AI is a only “tool”, but not taking seriously (I don’t know why Gary don’t address this directly) that AI is designed to be also “labor”. So when AI can use AI better than human, and it’s magnitude cheaper, no boss in their right mind would hire a human… (everybody have one thing left to do that is to hire AI and be an entrepreneur, if you want to contribute to material progress in our world) The timeline may be optimistic or pessimistic but it’s bound to happen because whoever create cheap labor/intelligence means huge rewards. It’s the ultimate aim of all technology. That new science and technology unlock itself without the limited supply of human work in the loop…
The video is still very informative. Wonder if Gary could address the AI using AI better than human therefore taking all jobs scenario up front? Or do you think it would never happen?
