I am a lawyer. These people talk about things as if it should not take time to learn it. As if I was born knowing "the law". No. It took a lot of time, trial and error, and practice to make me a decent lawyer. Mid-range lawyer. I am content in the knowledge I will never be a legal rock star and that's fine with me, because I'm proud of the effort it took getting me where I am today. And the same goes for art and artists. If you want to do it you have to put in the hours. Some will be automatically and effortlessly talented and that will probably not be you, but you will still be an artist. Because you did the work. You honed your skill. You earned it. Ordering a piece of art never makes you an artist, even if you are VERY SPECIFIC with what you are ordering.
