So many of these eggheads are smart dumb. Brilliant in so many ways but completely naïve to the real world and bad actors. The amount of times they think the US should do something and actually "believe" other actors/players on the world stage are virtuous is idiotic. They do it with crime, war, climate change, AI, etc. Just once in a while I wish these brilliant minds would pull their heads out of their books and labs and go outside and get heckled, spit on, slapped upside the head, etc to learn the world is not all sunshine and rainbows but a mean nasty place. I want to give him credit for mentioning he/we should NOT be naiive as to "why" China regulates but he only casually mentioned that after trying to make it seem like hey China regulates so the US should too. That is just pushing a narrative and being disingenuous. Once I hear people do this kind of crap it taints everything they say. They love to discredit themselves.
