after spending a good chunk of my day trying to get Gemini to ad friggin sauce to a casserole im not sure i can agree theres not at least some skills needed :'D Edit after 9 months: I actually super disagree with the thought that AI art isnt art. You might find it silly or lacking talent but i fail to see how walking around a field for 10 minutes with a camera in hand to get perfect lighting for a shot is any different from spending ten minutes refining your prompts. A painter could claim all photographers do is go find something that already exists and capture it, so is a photo even really art at all, no matter the lighting and shadows etc? A painter draws every single leaf by hand but a photographer? snap in 2 seconds their "art" is done. I think the Tate Modern should be burnt as an affront to creativity but i cant claim the works in there arent art. I dont often disagree openly with things on the net because.. well. who needs the drama but in my personal insignificant opinion, this is whataboutism. If we follow the "using new technology means it isnt art" line of thinking then the only real art would be a smear of fruit paste, clay, blood and ash on a cave wall. Everything else is made with technology to make things easier and therefore shouldnt be considered art.
