"Self-driving trucks aren't going to do anything to truck drivers. Their employers are going to do something to truck drivers". I love this take. Technology is not the demon. The person who wields the technology in a way that harms others is the demon. We can choose to protect American workers and their livelihoods from their employer's whims with or without self-driving, if we care to. And right now, our legislators do not care to.
